Once you have installed the 400 lb Upgross (Strut Cuff) Kit on the wing struts of your Otter, the airframe gross weight increases to 8367 lbs. By completing either item A or B, your Otter on floats will increase its maximum gross weight capacity to 8367 lbs.
A) With 7170 EDO Floats: extend your 7170 EDO floats with Stolairus' 7170 Float Stretch Kit to enable your floats to increase capacity to a maximum of 8200 lbs. Then, add Stolairus' float bumpers to obtain the maximum 8367 lbs gross weight capacity.
B) With 7490 EDO Floats: you can either remove the amphibious gear using Stolairus 7490 Amphib STC to obtain the maximum 8367 lbs gross weight capacity or leave the amphibious gear in and add Stolairus' float bumpers to obtain the maximum 8367 lbs gross weight capacity.
Kit Includes:
1. Strut cuff (5' of reinforcement made of .050 aluminum).
2. All necessary rivets.
3. Slushing compound.
4. Installation templates.
Total estimated installation time is 15 hours.
